See what it generates
Same topic, matched to where your child is. Two levels, side by side.
Steve had a pick. It was time to mine! He ran to a big hole in the thick stone. He dug and dug. Then he got a red bit. Steve ran home and put it in his box. This made him glad. Then a bad mob ran at him! Steve hit it with his pick. The mob ran off. Steve set his bed on a flat stone. His dog, Dot, sat on the rug. It was a fine life in the mine.
Selected Patterns
Steve woke at dawn. It was time to mine. He hiked deep in the cave, past thick walls of stone. Then he saw a zombie in the hole! Steve ran home and crafted a fine blade. He went back. This time, Steve hit the zombie and chased it from the mine. Then he dug deep and got a load of coal. Steve smiled. Life in the mine was fine โ and the chest was full.
Selected Patterns
Same topic โ different phonics level. The tool adjusts to exactly where your child is.
What the research actually shows
Students lose roughly one month of learning over summer.
A meta-analysis of 39 studies found that achievement scores declined over summer vacation by approximately one month's worth of school-year learning. Reading loss was most pronounced for lower-income students, while middle-class students tended to hold steady or gain slightly.
Cooper, H., Nye, B., Charlton, K., Lindsay, J., & Greathouse, S. (1996). Review of Educational Research, 66(3), 227โ268.
Summer gaps compound year over year.
The Johns Hopkins Beginning School Study followed 790 students for 25 years and found that the achievement gap between higher- and lower-income students accumulated almost entirely during summer months โ not during the school year. Both groups learned at similar rates while school was in session. The difference was what happened in June, July, and August, repeated every year.

The problem isn't effort. It's materials.
Most parents want to help. The right tools haven't existed.
Generic worksheets don't fit
"Jan sat on a log." Your child is working on vowel teams. Generic worksheets use whatever patterns they want โ not the ones your child is actually practicing.
Kids resist boring topics
A passage about a dog at the park isn't motivating. A passage about their favorite sport, animal, or video game? That gets read.
Creating aligned practice takes hours
Finding or writing passages that match a specific phonics scope and sequence is genuinely hard. Most parents can't do it. Until now.
